First of all, lama tak update blog sbb urusan perpindahan.. these are some of my experience assisting my sister.

my sister and I try as much as we can to limit the usage of time and money..and these are few things i just learn:

1)finding a new house

list down every preferences of house that we want
example : sekolah dekat, universiti dekat, easy access by public transport(trying as much as we can not to use car), komuniti, kedai,house or flat.
survey available houses on the property website.
then google map kawasan rumah itu, use satellite view untuk tengok sekitar rumah ada apa.
if the price and condition are reasonable, call the agent dan buat appointment untuk viewing.

2) viewing the house

we set all our appointment in a day..so that we do not have to ulang - alik..manage your time travel usefully.
istikoroh each time you see another houses because some times it look tempting with lower price and all, always make du'a, Allah will help you to choose the best.

"....and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allâh knows but you do not know " surah al baqarah:216

3) contract and agreement

try to deal and understand all the conditions apply. keep asking question until you are very clear. ( probe question is also recommended, just to know the quality and commitment of the agent :-P)

4) utilities

ask ( call ) the provider in any chance to have cheaper price without the need of changing another provider that includes termination fee. be sure to survey on the internet for any package and promotions available before you made the call. Some people enjoys taking advantages from our inadequate knowledge. never say yes before you are very sure about it.always ask the name you are speaking to before you proceed asking any question. if you hear something fishy but they refuse to be transparent about the price. you have the right to say "Thank you for the information,I have this conversation recorded" after that politely end the call.

5)now.. moving things in and out~

packing-
categorized things properly.. heavy,fragile,important,clothes.
always donate or dispose off unnecessary things.
have the size of the lorry's container accurately and do a frame.arrange things exactly according the size given.
minimize space : clothes used as a padding, fill in every spaces such as fridge.
boxes : pick up freely from the nearest store : free but the size is not the same. susah nak stack. another option is buy standard size moving box yang dah digunakan, suggestion cari dekat amazon.com.. bergantung pada kuantiti dan cara susunan barang.

kakak saya sgt serabut untuk fikir tentang barang dan semua2 perpindahan ini. saya membantu kakak and i learn a lot on "how to be a good helper"

1) kenali barang - barang owner so dia tak perlu explain byk kali as dia ada byk perkara nak kene settlekan. Macam saya, saya label barang2 kakak..bukan la untuk dia pun sebenarnya. untuk saya lebih faham barang2 dia.. dan boleh tolong ingat2kan mana2 yang perlu.

2) be a good listener and offer help when you think it is needed. don't speak too much with intention to "bertanya khabar" or being concern as it will make other people more sad. this happen always because we tend to think we are at the same condition..i always want to say this " kalau anda perempuan, dan bergantung sepenuhnya pada suami dan laki2 dalam hidup anda..saya ingin jelaskan,saya dan akak tak sama seperti anda.saya bujang dan akak balu..lelaki yg ada dalam rumah anak buah yg 11 tahun tu aje..tapi kami dah biasa menukang bersama ayah dari kecil, angkat mesin basuh dan katil,baca manual dan peta..screwdriver dan spanar tu memang dah biasa.. cuma tak ada air-compressor je kat sini..kami hargai keprihatinan kalian bertanya khabar..just to explain..kadang- kadang bertanya khabar tu menyakitkan sebab membuat kami sedar "oh.. kami kena buat semua sendiri sebab kami tak ada lelaki muhrim berdekatan" dengan cepat pujuk hati kami,its okey,sbb Allah sentiasa hulurkan bantuan di mana- mana dengan bekalan ilmu dan kata2 ayah yg mengajar DIY pada kami sejak kecil " do it yourself" :-) saya suka nak sebut kagumnya saya pada beberapa wanita yang tak banyak tanya..tapi terus hulur bantuan yang termampu menjauhkan kami dari sikap meminta..tak lupa buat jejaka2 yang membantu angkat barang..terima kasih banyak buat semua.

moving out~
my father used to say this " we are moving out, MAKE SURE the condition of this house is BETTER than the day you were in. ATLEAST THE SAME.. we already rent this house, we should be thankful no matter what"

even jauh dari ayah,rasa mcm dia ada dekat sebelah jer dia tengah tengok kami.. hihi~ so semua lubang2 dinding kami pernah lubangkan,kami buh filler.

tips to clean easy way:

bahan mencuci + alat digunakan + kekuatan tangan = formula ini auntie cleaner kat hospital yang bagitahu.. thanks aunt!

tengok kat dapur bikarbonat dan cuka paling sikit guna untuk masak,kami pun gunalah instead of buying detergents yg will cost us more money.

1) karat : campur serbuk bikarbonat + cuka (vinegar)
2) kulat pada hidden2 area : kalau ada surface licin pakai cuka, if not pakai dettol.
3) curtain2 rendam dalam air panas dan bikarbonat

guna muscle sendiri sental kuat2.. tempat yang susah reach pakai berus gigi..

alhamdulillah everything went well~ and i am so proud of my sister.. she is an amazing woman..she has strong brain, strong heart,strong hands and strong legs.
Akak selalu pesan.. depend on Allah..do not depend on people ..
