dictionary masakan sy yg ringkas~

* changes due to apply- akan diupdate dari masa ke semasa.

kunyit = tumeric
asam jawa= tamarind
asam gelugor/keping = tamarind peels
kayu manis = cinnamon
jintan putih = cumin
jintan manis = aniseed
halba = fenugreek
buah pala = nutmeg
buah keras= candlenut
buah pelaga = cardamon
buah berangan = chestnut
cili boh = minced chilli
halia : ginger
lengkuas : galanga/galangal
bawang putih : ginger
gula melaka : palm sugar
beras pulut : glutinous rice/ sticky rice
beras pulut hitam : black glutinous rice..(make sure glutinous,beras hitam lain)

ketumbar= coriander
kobis = cabbage

ikan : my advice is tahu nama spesifik ikan, then cari dalam group apa..rupa ikan memang berbeza,tapi kalau dari group yg sama..boleh substitute kalau tak jumpa.
